Many people consider Gary Player to be one of the finest athletes in the history of the game. Back in his prime, the pro garnered quite a bit of attention. He won a total of nine major championships, including three Masters titles, three Open Championships, and two PGA Championships, winning over millions of fans. But even though it has been decades since his last win, Player still continues to steal the hearts of many in the golf world, most recently with his Instagram post!

Even though he is now 87 years old and retired, Player is heavily involved in the golf scene. He is a golf course designer, a golf and fitness author, and a golf tournament commentator. Moreover, the legend continues to participate in senior tour competitions and sporadic exhibition games.

On April 29, 2023, however, the old timer made news by returning to The Woodlands, Texas. Player was accompanied by Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino, Annika Sorenstam, and 12 additional golf legends for the Folds of Honor Greats of Golf. Days after the incident, the legend has once again attracted attention with a social media post.

87-year-old, Player is a social media pro, notably on Twitter and Instagram. The three-time Green Jacket champion recently posted a photo from his early playing career on his Instagram account. In it, the legend is staring in awe, open-jawed, at his driver as he examines it. The post’s caption said: “Drivers have come a long, long way. Just look at the teeth on this one! GP.”
