The European Tour is all geared up for the Omega European Masters at the Crans-sur-Sierre in Switzerland. The venue is just as scenic as any other, a favorite for players and fans. The course is historic in its own right and has been hosting the event since the 1970s. Canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s tournament is highly anticipated.

Additionally, the event was called the Swiss Open till it became the European Masters in 1983. Sebastian Söderberg won the last event in 2019, beating Lorenzo Gagli, Rory McIlroy, Andrés Romero and Kalle Samooja. Moreover, Thomas Bjorn, Alex Noren, and Matt Fitzpatrick are all two-time winners.

Winner’s payout at the Omega European Masters 2021

This year’s Omega European Masters offers a prize pool of €2,000,000, the winner earning a total of €166,660. The is the standard cut offered to one as per the European Tour’s prize money distribution chart. Now, along with the prize money, the champion will also be awarded 24 Official World Golf Ranking points on winning.
