Nine-time tournament winner on the PGA Tour, Patrick Reed, has yet again managed to be accused of cheating during a game. The 2018 Masters champion was earlier accused of cheating when he claimed relief over an “embedded ball”. However, this time there is no getting away as fans on Twitter are not settling for anything less than calling him a “cheater”.

Golf fans react to Patrick Reed’s latest cheating spree
Golf enthusiast, Viktor Smith, recently posted a couple of pictures where Reed seems to be picking the ball up. Fans have seen him doing similar unacceptable things on the field in the past, and accused him of cheating a lot of times before. But his career is again at stake after his fans are calling him out on Twitter.

Some of them pointed out his alleged consistent cheating and said, “Cheaters will always cheat.” While others defended the player saying “He was removing loose impediments. No cheating involved. Easy to see when zooming in.” Here are a few fan reactions found under the tweet:

Why did Patrick Reed shift to the LIV Golf Tour?
Patrick Reed had a different set of reasons to be a part of the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Tour. Unlike most other players, it wasn’t just the money that convinced the player to join the new league. According to reports, Reed’s family has disliked the PGA Tour for a long time.

A source said, “The Reeds have a miserable relationship with the PGA Tour,… I know nothing would make them happier than giving the Tour a big middle finger … he’s been playing the Saudi International on the European Tour for years now and loves it. He has great relationships over there.”

A few days before the PGA Tour announced that they were going to suspend LIV Golf players from the tour, Reed stated he was going to play in the LIV Tour. A lot of other players including Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson have also joined the Saudi-funded league. The LIV Golf players are making millions of dollars from LIV. However, the golfers have paid the cost after losing their PGA Tour legacy.
