Billy Horschel is no stranger to speaking his mind, especially when it comes to the game of golf. Recently, he’s been stressing the need for players to bring more personality and entertainment to the sport. While competition is key, Horschel believes players also have to embrace the role of entertainer, saying, “We need to be different than what we are out at a PGA Tour event inside the ropes.”

His comments come right after The Showdown’s disappointing viewership numbers, which saw just 625,000 viewers tune in across TNT and TBS. It’s clear Horschel feels strongly that golf needs more than just skill—it needs character and flair. And well, Kevin Kisner is undoubtedly living up to the hype of the league. Let’s go back to Tiger Woods’s debut at the SoFi Center.

Kevin Kisner’s round took a wild turn when he found a bunker off the tee, and then, in a twist of fate, nearly sent his shot straight into the fan-packed stands after skulking one from the sand. Instead, the ball ricocheted off the flagstick and ended up in the rough on the opposite side. That had his Jupiter teammates, Tiger Woods and Max Homa, along with everyone at Los Angeles Golf Club, laughing hysterically. But the chaos didn’t stop there. Kisner’s next chip lipped out, and at that point, even Tiger couldn’t hold it together.

Well, of course, his performance was not the best one! But he was adding the flavor of entertainment to the venue. And he agrees to it. The 40 YO appeared in a recent episode of the Fore Play and was mockingly asked about him being the talk of the town. He knew that it was for all the wrong reasons, but Kisner did not mind. Very smartly, he replied, “I understand my role and I’m well aware of it and I uh I’m not afraid to embrace it so I can be Tiger’s hype man anytime you want and I can be the mouth of TGL anytime they want. so the gos a bonus for me.”

What’s your perspective on:

Is Kevin Kisner's flair enough to justify his spot, or should Tiger Woods rethink his choices?

Kevin Kisner’s terrible appearance during his second chance

Midway through the second match of Jupiter Links, the vibe shifted dramatically—Kevin Kisner’s struggles were clear, and the thought on everyone’s mind was, “Charlie Woods might be a better fit.” In this match, against Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, and Adam Scott’s Boston Common Golf, Kisner’s game just wasn’t clicking. Jupiter Links, feeling confident, seized control early, taking the hammer on the second hole and claiming two points. But when Kisner missed a crucial putt, Tom Kim had to step in to bail them out.

Even with Kim’s rescue, Boston Common managed to tie the hole, stripping Jupiter Links of their momentum. In the final round, Kisner’s performance didn’t improve much—aside from a few wild shots, his most memorable moment came when he mishit a wedge shot that somehow struck the flagstick and careened off to the side. It was one of those moments that will be hard to forget but once again, for all the wrong reasons! Do you really think Kisner should be out? Let us know in the comments section below!
