Spiranac had made a tweet saying, “You should get a free drop if your ball lands in a fairway divot.” Meanwhile, if a ball lands in the divot, especially on fairways, then the player will have a terrible lie. And playing from the divot can be a strenuous job. Hence, Paige wants the USGA and R&A to allow a free drop whenever the ball lands in a fairway divot.

So, players teeing off after them will face difficulties if their ball lands inside the divot. And, as of now, there is no relief for players if the ball lands in the fairway divot. Hence, Paige Spiranac wants to change this one rule in golf.
