The PGA Tour moved to Colorado at the Castle Pines Golf Club for the penultimate event of the FedExCup season. And the field at the 2024 BMW Championship isn’t short of star players, and at the Pro-AM, it even saw a few famous names from other sports. Retired 2-time Super Bowl champ Peyton Manning took on the Castle Pines challenge, with Wyndham Clark for the front nine and Adam Hadwin for the back.

Manning was playing the Pro-Am on Wednesday and showed that, despite being a legend in the NFL, when it comes to golf, he was just like the rest of us. While taking on a tee shot, the footballer missed the ball, which ended up nowhere to be seen— at least on the fairway. He joked about it and the chants of “one of us” rose.

Paige Spiranac used Manning’s hilarious mishap to give the fans a teaser of what her performance could be at the Creators Classic, played at East Lake before the TOUR Championship. The diva humorously implied that, as Manning lost his tee shot, there was a chance that she may do it as well next week. Mocking her own game, the 31-year-old golfer posted on X and said, “Everyone look away when this is me at the Creator Classic.”

This was not the first time Spiranac mocked her game; even when she announced her excitement for the first-ever Creators Classic by the PGA Tour, the golf mommy was nervous and asked her fans to wish her the best of luck. Spiranac’s nervousness for the upcoming Creators Classic may seem normal but it also stems from people’s expectations of her.

Paige Spiranac jokes about her odds of winning

The last time Paige Spiranac played professionally was in 2016. But the Creators Classic is not a professional tournament but a 9-hole event just at the PGA Tour, and it’s unlike that the OG golf influencer has never taken up a 9-hole challenge. However, her anxiety was still hitting the ceiling for many reasons, one of which was that the predictions were out about the winning odds and Spiranac did not top that list.

Sharing an Instagram story, the 31-year-old shared how she started some drills to play better at East Lake on August 28. Spiranac then sarcastically said that she was not as stressed as she was ranked last to win the Creators Classic. Spiranac said, “Pressure’s off. Because odds are in and I am the favorite to come at last.” According to BetCarolina.com, the former pro had odds of +12500 or 0.8% chance of winning the Creators Classic.

With expectations being already low, Spiranac was not as worried about messing things up and expressed that it was only about getting up from the bottom. Yet she was still nervous and revealed her game was okay. There are six days left for the Creators Classic; in the meantime, Paige Spiranac can surely amp up her game and shock those who do not expect her to play well.
