Walking down memory lane, social media users lashed out at UFC for hiring renowned TikTok influencer Addison Rae as one of its presenters. While Rae opted to stay shut on the hate, it was Spiranac who came out in defense of one of the highest-earning TikTok personalities from 2021.

Similar to Spiranac, Rae also enjoys a whopping social media following. In July last year, she took to her Twitter handle, sharing the news of her appointment as a UFC presenter. With a photo of herself in a green dress with a UFC mic in hand, she wrote, “I studied broadcast journalism in college for 3 whole months to prepare for this moment.”

While one section of her colossal fanbase became a part of her celebrations by showering their wishes, another half took no time to criticize the Ultimate Fighting Championship for the appointment.

Scrolling through the hatred, a Twitter user wrote, “Should we hire someone who busted their butt through college, and genuinely loves UFC and is hungry for an opportunity in journalism?? Nah, let’s hire Addison Rae because she’s popular for “throwing it back” on TikTok.”

As mentioned earlier, Rae, busy celebrating the accomplishment, opted to pass over the hatred. However, taking to her Twitter handle, Spiranac took no time to give it back to the hate comment by the mentioned user.

Giving yet another glimpse of her in-fame on point replies, she wrote, “Don’t discredit all her hard work. UFC is smart to hire someone with millions of followers.”
