It is finally happening! Elon Musk is to acquire one of the most popular social media sites, Twitter. Since he has put forward his offer to buy it, people have suggested some changes that they think Twitter needs. Paige Spiranac is one of them, and she asked for an edit button for the social media platform.

The former professional golfer turned social media influencer pitched her idea to the business tycoon through her Twitter account.

Twitter, Inc. announced on the 25th of April that Elon Musk acquired the social media platform for $44 billion. According to the agreement, Musk needs to pay each shareholder $54.20 in cash before making Twitter his own. After the transaction, it will be a part of Musk’s company.

Furthermore, the transaction of the deal is expected to close in 2022 itself. According to Forbes ‘Real Time Billionaire’ list, Elon Musk is the world’s wealthiest person of 2022. He has a net worth of $268.2 billion.

Elon Musk is the CEO of Tesla, which designs and manufactures electric vehicles. The business tycoon also owns SpaceX, a leading aerospace firm.

Musk has said that he wants to make changes to Twitter by “enhancing the product with new features.” “Twitter has tremendous potential,” Musk added. “I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it.”

Since the business tycoon suggested making changes, people have been reaching out to him with their ideas. And the former professional golfer asked for an edit button.

Interestingly, Musk had already put a poll on Twitter asking people whether the social media platform needs an edit button or not. Notably, 73.6% of people gave a positive verdict on it, whereas the other 26.4% voted against it.

Although Spiranac has asked for an edit button for Twitter now, she was once against it. 

One Twitter user suggested the same when Spiranac had made a tweet“You know what Twitter needed? Not stories,” on her account. However, the golfer didn’t like the idea and had commented on why she doesn’t think Twitter needs an edit button.

The incident happened in 2020. It has been only two years since Spiranac expressed she doesn’t like the idea of Twitter having an edit button. However, it has changed ever since.
