Tiger Woods withdrew from the last major tournament he attended due to health issues. While many have lost faith in him to play all round at the 150th Open Championship this week, the former professional golfer Paige Spiranac still hasn’t lost hope in him.

As the PointsBet Ambassador, Spiranac always shares her top picks of the golf tournaments almost every week. As it is the major week, the 29-year-old continued with her tradition and revealed her top picks for the event.

Her list mostly contained the top players of the season. However, she couldn’t help but include the 15-time major winner as one of her picks as she still believes in him.

Paige Spiranac has trust in Tiger Woods!

Woods had to withdraw from the last major he had attended, the PGA Championship, due to injuries from his car accident that haven’t fully healed yet. Notably, he had made the cut in it. He also had finished all the rounds in the Masters.

Although Spiranac had named him to win the event in one of her latest videos, she had picked him this time to at least make the cut in this video. Furthermore, she picked Kevin Kisner to rank above the 6-time major winner Phil Mickelson. While she picked Woods and Kisner to be her extra picks, the former golfer also revealed her top choices for the tournament.

Spiranac picked the Players Championship winner Cameron Smith, the former world no. 1 Jon Rahm, and the 2019 Open Championship winner Shane Lowry as her outrights of the event.

Spiranac’s top list doesn’t have the world no. 1’s name!

“It was tough to not pick Scottie Scheffler or Xander Schauffele. But Xander’s going for four in a row, and I think that it’s just one too many,” Spiranac said in the video.

Notably, Scheffler is the current world no. 1, with 4 titles this season, including the Masters. Schauffele, on the other hand, is the Tokyo Olympics gold medalist. Furthermore, he has also won back-to-back tournaments: the Travelers Championship and the Genesis Scottish Open.

The former professional golfer picked fellow American golfer Max Homa and the English golfer Justin Rose as her top 20. She explained why she chose Rose over others, “…he loves this golf course.” Furthermore, she picked the South Korean golfer Sungjae Im in her top 40.
