Paige Spiranac Has a Mixed Reaction to Will Smith Slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars

Sometimes, one incident is enough to spark a worldwide debate. This time, it was actor Will Smith slapping comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars that made global headlines. The incident seems to have drawn out opinions from everyone, including golf star Paige Spiranac.

Known for her candid opinion on most events, Spiranac’s comments on the Oscars slap were expected. Over the past few days, many athletes have spoken up about the incident. While some have looked for a middle ground, many have picked a side.

Spiranac, before continuing about sports news in her new video, focused on Smith and Rock for some time.

Does Paige Spiranac side with Will Smith?

In a SportsBet USA Tea Time segment, Spiranac chooses to talk about events and speculations about the sports world. However, before she focused on that, the YouTuber had to mention the slap the world is discussing.

“I see both sides. Never talk about someone’s wife,” Spiranac said. “But number two, are we that soft that no one can take a joke these days? Terrible. But that form though.”

Though she did not choose one side clearly, Spiranac’s words perfectly sum up everyone’s opinion. While many agree with the 53-year-old actor, many-sided with Rock. Though some feel Smith was defending his wife, some added that Smith should have shown some restraint as violence isn’t the answer.

To many viewers, the Oscars are a prestigious event and formal awards ceremony. Smith’s behavior was apparently uncalled for, and fans think it drew the focus away as well. Though Spiranac claimed to understand Smith’s side as a husband, she also wondered if people cannot take a joke in 2022.

Twitter and other social media sites were more or less a combination of Spiranac’s words.

Furthermore, Spiranac went on to talk about the Masters, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Scottie Scheffler taking over as the World No. 1. She even mentioned March Madness, where St. Peters’ magical run has come to an end.

That being said, Spiranac is always around to talk about the golf world, or otherwise. She often discusses her golf, while also bringing an interesting take to the table. Though Will Smith slapping Rock is in no way related to her sport, Spiranac had to comment on the viral incident.
