When you think of golf personalities who’ve truly promoted the game beyond the course, you’ve got to consider Bryson DeChambeau. Sure, there are a lot of influential figures in the sport, but DeChambeau has really made his mark online. His YouTube channel, Break 50, is a huge hit, featuring some of the most famous faces. Speaking of which, he recently brought NFL legend Tom Brady on the show, and let’s just say—it was fantastic.

But let’s not forget about the second name in this duo: Paige Spiranac. If you’re unfamiliar with her, well, you’ve probably been hibernating for a while! Spiranac has used her platform to take golf to new audiences, bridging the gap between the sport and pop culture. She’s not just a former LPGA pro; she’s one of the most prominent voices in golf media today.

Coming back to DeChambeau, he recently posted some behind-the-scenes clips from his latest Break 50 episode with Brady, along with some snapshots of his season, announcing the “wrap for season one” on Instagram. In his caption, he even asked his followers who he should invite for the next season. And that’s when Spiranac dropped in, commenting “Charles Barkley!”—suggesting that the NBA legend should be the next guest.
It’s funny how things have come full circle. Once seen as rivals, these two are now openly supporting each other. And it’s not just about the occasional joke—Spiranac has been vocal in showing their support for DeChambeau over the years. While their rivalry might’ve been a sizzling topic once, today they’re more about collaboration and camaraderie, even sharing social media shoutouts.
It’s safe to say that their “rivalry” is a thing of the past.

Paige Spiranac: A frenemy to DeChambeau
From headlines labeling them rivals to rumors of a possible romance, Paige Spiranac and Bryson DeChambeau’s bond has definitely seen all seasons. In fact, when we look at how their friendship is flourishing now, it’s hard to imagine there was ever a rift between the two.

In the past, Spiranac didn’t hold back when speaking about DeChambeau. On her Playing a Round podcast, she mentioned candidly, “Bryson gets a lot of s*** and kind of deservedly.” She also took a jab at his infamous comment about Augusta National being a “par-67” when he struggled at the Masters, writing on X: “Remember when Bryson called Augusta National a par 67. Good times.” But when DeChambeau did manage to pull off a major win, Spiranac did offer a rare nod of congratulations.
Yes, there were differences between the two, but now things have clearly changed. After teaming up for YouTube collaborations, Spiranac had a chance to meet DeChambeau in person, and her perspective shifted. On X, she wrote, “I’ve publicly trolled him in the past but in person he was nothing but kind, funny, and self deprecating. Total opposite from how I perceived him over the years.”
More recently, Spiranac has been one of DeChambeau’s most vocal supporters. When Golf Channel’s Brandel Chamblee dismissed his U.S. Open victory against Rory McIlroy as “good fortune,” Spiranac wasn’t having it. She quickly defended DeChambeau, posting on X, “Brandel saying “good fortune” is why Bryson won the US Open is wild. Doesn’t even try to hide his hatred for him. Smh.”
