Paige Spiranac Shockingly Exposes Phil Mickelson’s Bizarre Behavior: ‘Sorry, I Didn’t Mean to…’

Paige Spiranac was a professional golfer before she quit way back in 2016 to become a successful social media influencer. She has met many respectable personalities throughout her career. While some of the meetings helped her create friends for life, there are some entities whom she wishes she never met. 

American professional golfer, Phil Mickelson, is part of the latter group of people in Spiranac’s life. Although they started off as friends, the Colorado native now doesn’t keep a good relationship with him. 

In the latest episode, ‘”Favorite” Misleading Headlines of 2022,’ of her podcast, ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee,’ she revealed why she has the 6-time major champion on her blacklist. 

Phil Mickelson blocked Paige Spiranac on social media

Phil Mickelson had blocked Spiranac on Twitter. The 29-year-old realized it when she tried to congratulate him for his 2021 PGA Championship victory. “I tried to add him, and it was unavailable,” she said on her podcast. 

She thought Lefty didn’t have a Twitter account until she saw others tagging him and congratulating him for the win. “I made a bit of a stink about it,” Spiranac explained how she felt after being blocked, as she had never said anything to harm him in any way until then. 

“‘Hey, sorry, I didn’t mean to. It was probably just some glitch,'” Spiranac explained what he messaged her back when she confronted him through Instagram DM.

Since the misunderstanding was solved, she congratulated him for his major win and later found that the golfer blocked her the very next day. However, he played safe and blocked her on Twitter and Instagram this time. 

Why did the 6-time major champion block the golf influencer?

Years ago, when Spiranac met Mickelson for the first time, she found him a charming fellow. Notably, the two were working with Mizzen+Main at the time. According to the 29-year-old, he came to her and complimented her for doing what she does as an influencer. 

The duo brushed up their relationship at the Phoenix Open the next year after his caddie, Jim ‘Bones’ Mackay, brought her a bottle of water. After all these events, anyone would think that the two have a friendly relationship; so did Spiranac. 

Yet, the golfer blocked her on social media twice, and that too without letting her know the reason. “I didn’t know how long I was blocked or why I was blocked,” she said in her podcast. “It was never explained.”
