“Let’s settle this whole handicap debate,” said Bryson DeChambeau as he suggested a match to Donald Trump and Joe Biden. The two were engaged in banter during the official presidential debate that took place recently. The POTUS claimed his golf handicap was a 6, which now became 8. The claim was called out by the ex-president, eliciting much response from the golf world, including the LIV Golf Pro as well. And now, it’s the golfing diva, Paige Spiranac, who followed the golfer’s suit.

The 31-year-old posted a tweet on her X handle, which included a video of Trump questioning Biden’s handicap claim. But the golfing influencer used the clip to hilariously recall the debate of her own she had with her fans regarding her handicap, all the while taking a dig at the same. The athlete wrote, “Me defending my handicap yesterday,” as she shared the post.

The whole debate started when Paige Spiranac revealed her handicap to be +3.4, making her better than a scratch golfer with a figure of 0. Many in the community took to doubting her numbers, with some even questioning why she divulged the same only now. Regardless, the diva took to answering many of them, even dishing out appropriate responses to fans roasting her on X. Interestingly, the fans took to react this time as well, with some even siding with the social media influencer.

Netizens ready to ‘vote’ for Paige Spiranac

Bryson DeChambeau made a complete U-turn from his previous ‘showy’ image to being America’s favorite golfer through content creation. He did so while making use of such platforms on the internet, especially YouTube with his ‘Break 50’ series. A fan urged the LIV Golf Pro to co-host the match between these two, as the golfer had earlier insinuated in his tweet: “@b_dechambeau candidate golf match needs you as co-host.” Another follower, meanwhile, nudged Paige Spiranac to host the tourney: “You should host a golf tournament with these two!”

Back in 2023, the golfing icon had revealed the lowest score that she ever carded in a video. Impressed with the same, her ‘rival’ Karin Hart, another influencer of the sport, dubbed her as deserving of the ‘Golf Queen’ title. That, coupled with her recent revelation of her being a plus handicap golfer, sure did elicit a lot of support from the community, as they commented, “Paige is quite smart and does hit the ball a long way so I believe her,” and “I’m voting for Paige.”

Many didn’t understand the significance of the ‘+’ sign in front of the handicap that the 31-year-old had shared in her previous tweet. A lot of people were unfamiliar with the handicapping system causing them to confuse it with a regular handicap of 3. But this time around, a user decided to issue a jab at Joe Biden as they responded, “Lol Biden might think that a 6 handicap means you shoot a 6 on every hole.” The community sure didn’t question her skills in the recent post!

The fans would truly find the whole exchange that happened as nothing short of amusing. Well, one can’t help but agree with one of those followers when they commented on the precise timing of the video: “The most amazing timing ever, right after your HC clarification post.” It sure was amazing!
