Spiranac quit the professional greens seven years ago, when she failed to make on to the LPGA Tour, and the stress and pressure got the best of her. She then realized that she plays her best golf without the stress of being a pro. Her special memory of Amanda Balionis from the same year, 2016. That year, Callaway Golf’s

The rules were simple: whoever made a 50-foot putt would win a newly introduced long putter from Callaway Golf. Paige Spiranac started first, but unfortunately, her putt missed went to the right corner away from the hole. Next, Amanda Balionis showcased her skills. Her initial putt was off-target, but it rebounded off the side walls and rolled straight into the hole, granting her victory.

After retiring, Spiranac has been actively involved on social media, discussing golf and participating in friendly challenges. Safe to say, she has taken the golf world by a strom. Speaking of participating in healthy challenges recently, Hailey Ostrom invited her to play, sharing a post on X with the caption, “Hey @PaigeSpiranac, it sounds like everyone wants to see us play. What do you say?”
Paige Spiranac enthusiastically accepted the invitation, replying, “Let’s do it! Meanwhile, Amanda Balionis is still a journalist for CBS Sports and actively covers golf, college football, and the NFL. Her journey with golf also started pretty early in her life, but she then decided that it was not the right fit for her.
How is Amanda Balionis connected with golf?
Balionis was born into a golf-loving family, and her connection with the game started when she was 9 years old. However, after enjoying golf for a while, she eventually stopped and started developing new interests, especially in swimming.
Shedding light on her decision as to why she quit golf, she told Golf Digest, “I played junior golf for a few years; my parents loved playing with me, but the minute I had to carry my own bag and walk nine holes by myself, I was like, ‘Eh, you know what, I’m going to go join the swim team.”
Although Balionis actively covers golf, she believes it “is a weird sport.” This may come as a surprise to many, considering she is usually seen on the golf course. However, it’s safe to assume that for Amanda Balionis, golf is just part of her job. Do you think the golf world will ever get to see the two beautiful ladies in the same frame again?
