After 16 years of working in the broadcast industry, Sir Nick Faldo announced his retirement from commentary last year. While many applauded the six-time Major winner for his illustrious television career, social media star, Paige Spiranac chose the adverse route. Nonetheless, the Hall of Famer is set to prove the golf influencer wrong with his latest announcement.
Having millions of followers across all social media platforms, Spiranac uses her immense following to share her thoughts on the latest happenings in golf. During Faldo’s retirement from the CBS Commentary team last year, the social media sensation had some brutal words to share about the retired English golfer.

Faldo announced his retirement from broadcasting during last season’s Wyndham Championship, an event where he made his pro debut back in 1979. Nonetheless, after emotionally disclosing his retirement, tributes poured in for the Hall of Famer. But Spiranac had some harsh words to share.

Initially, the former pro golfer began with some wise words for Faldo. “He has had an amazing career on and off the golf course”, said Paige in a Twitter video. However, she then claimed that Sir Nick hasn’t been a good commentator for the past two years. The 30-year-old added, “I don’t think I’m gonna miss Nick Faldo like I have missed Johnny Miller”.

Though the 65-year-old announced his retirement from commentating, he has yet another massive news for his fans. The three-time Green Jacket winner will return to Augusta National not only for the Champions Dinner but also for commentary.

Sir Nick Faldo is set to return to the broadcasting world with Sky Sports at the upcoming Masters. Moreover, he will also be commentating during the Open Championship later this year. While Paige Spiranac may have claimed the Hall of Famer had lost his ‘spark’ and was ‘bored’, Faldo has a lot to prove to the social media sensation.
Nonetheless, the retired golfer’s commentary will only be heard in the United Kingdom as Sky Sports is only within the British subordinate while CBS and ESPN will broadcast the Masters in the United States. Since the Hall of Famer’s analysis and commentary will also be heard by the people in Europe, Spiranac may not be too concerned with his return.
