Back in 2020, just before the Masters, Bryson boasted about his huge drives off the tee and said, “I’m looking at it as a par 67 for me because I can reach all the par-5s in two, no problem. If the conditions stay the way they are, that’s what I feel like par is for me. That’s not me being big-headed. I can hit it as far as I want to.”

The statement is funny as in the Masters in 2020, DeChambeau did not play well and finished the event with an overall score of two-under-par. He finished outside the top 30 at tied 34th position. As a result, he could not live up to his words. Spiranacs new tweet makes golf fans recall DeChambeau’s over-promising remarks, thus, taking an indirect dig at him.

Bryson can’t win on the regular tour courses , around Augusta he has no chance , his chipping and putting aren’t good enough for the slick greens there 🤷♂️

Hes one of the best putters. Won the hardest major and has many pga wins?

There’s just certain things you don’t do. Not respecting a golf course cause it will destroy you and being cocky in beer pong because they will always make the next cup.

If they ever do a roast for that guy, there will be no shortage of material.

Bryson underestimated Augusta National and overestimated his ability to effectively play the golf course. If memory serves he has not finished in the Top 15 at Augusta yet. In fact, I think his best finish was when he was an amateur.

And then shot a 76 on Thursday, that was some quality entertainment

its because his length turned par 5s into par 4s, he was hitting pitching wedge into par 5s, he didn't play well but i get where he was coming from
— Carter Dy (@CarterDy12) March 29, 2022
I wonder what his par is this year because I can certainly remember when he shot 77, 76, three 75’s, three 74’s and two 73’s in his five appearances at Augusta.
