The final round of the Zurich Classic has seen Utah native Patrick Fishburn in luck. Along with former Brigham Young University mate Zac Blair, the duo seems to be setting high expectations for all spectators by headlining the field of the only sanctioned team event of the PGA Tour. The 2024 PGA Tour rookie’s interesting display of prowess has drawn the wider attention of the golf world into the depths of his golfing bag.

After all, the golfer with a long history on the Korn Ferry Tour currently fans the Top 50 of the PGA Tour’s Driving Distance for 2024. Interestingly, despite his high rank in terms of distance, he falls on a list of the least accurate drives as well, with just an accuracy of 55%. So what exactly makes his game so unique?

The 31-year-old has a perfect mix of different equipment in his golf bag. Headlining his bag (and his game) is his choice of drivers, who trace their origins to Callaway. This is the famous Paradym Ai Smoke MAX driver with a 9-degree loft shaft and Ventus TR Fujikura shafts. These are widely known for their perfectly crafted shape and adjustable perimeter, which help in maintaining the accuracy of his shots.

The American who finished inside the Top 30 of the 2023 Korn Ferry Tour Points List and earned his PGA Tour card for 2024 also makes use of three-woods to have a more balanced game. For the same, he uses the TaylorMade BRNR Fairway Woods with an interesting Ventus 9 TX Fujikura shaft.

To make his shots more precise and calculated, Fishburn also uses the famous Golf Pride grips, in particular the ZGrip, which is famous for its maximum firmness. This is the #1 grip on the Tour. He also makes use of his favorite Titleist Pro v1 golf ball. These are priced at $55 per dozen. They provide a world-renowned penetrating flight and a very soft feel to the shots. But what about his wedges and putter?

Wedges and Putter that Fishburn uses

For exceeding control on his short game, Fishburn makes use of the Titleist Vokey SM 10 wedges in the 62°, 57°, 56°, and 52° loft variants. He uses the famous Dynamic Gold X 100 shafts for a smoother performance. These wedges are famous for their “crisp contact, optimal lighting, and incredible spin.”

The Fishin’ for Birdies Podcast host’s immaculate putting skills find their source in the PXG Black Jack Milled Putters. This is a bold mallet-style putter that retails for $389.99. With a guarantee of precision, these offer a “thin-walled hollow body construction, injection-molded core, and the thinnest face in putters.” To safely keep and effectively carry these, he uses the famous PXG bag.
