Former PGA Tour star, Dustin Johnson, recently married the love of his life, Paulina Gretzky in April 2022. Things happened in a rush at the resort as they said their vows over the weekend at the Great Smoky Mountains. Paulina Gretzky is the daughter of golf legend, Wayne Gretzky and superstar Janet Jones. The golfer’s wife recently opened up about how marrying Johnson was her father’s advice.

Dustin Johnson’s wife talks about her father’s role in their wedding

Paulina Gretzky has a lot of fans on Instagram and all of them want to know as much as possible about her wedding with the golfer. She recently posted a Q&A story on her Instagram profile, and fans asked her all they wanted to. Among the barrage of questions was a simple one about what her father’s thoughts were about Johnson?

Her reply led to a storm among her fans who were surprised to know how Gretzky’s old man reacted. “He told me I should marry him…,” she wrote as a response to the question. But Gretzky acted on her father’s words when Johnson proposed to her. The two got engaged in 2013 and recently had a successful wedding in April 2022.

Gretzky also mentioned that her dad gave her the “best dating advice”. She recalled, “He told me to weigh the pros and cons of dating someone. If there are few cons and many pros, then don’t rule them out right away. If the cons outweigh the pros, then don’t try to be the person who thinks they can change them.” It looks like Gretzky didn’t need to change a lot in Johnson before agreeing to marry him.

Dustin Johnson spoke about his wife’s role

In an interview in 2020, Johnson told People Magazine, “She’s such a big supporter of mine. Obviously with golf or any professional athlete, or even a business, you got to have somebody to support you.” And luckily for Johnson, his wife has been accompanying him to most of his events to cheer for him.

The two have been together for a long time. And it would not be wrong to say that Johnson can not wait to start his family with his wife. However, there is no confirmation if Gretzky was in support of the golfer while he joined the LIV Golf league.
