One of the most prominent names in golf, Paige Spiranac, is known for her massive social media presence. Catering to a colossal following, she uses her social media handles to showcase her golfing skills, along with expressing her strong views and opinions. A glimpse of her strong views was seen back in the year 2021.

Scrolling through her social media handles, it is evident that a significant section of her opinions revolves around Bryson DeChambeau and Tiger Woods. Walking down memory lane, the PGA Tour made headlines for backing DeChambeau in a controversy involving his feud with a spectator. Disappointed by the Tour’s stand, Spirnanac took no time to take to her social media handle, condemning its action.

Taking to her Twitter handle, she asserted, “People call me sl*t and wh*re everyday. I’m against anyone yelling anything while they are hitting. I think you’re harassing someone then you should get kicked off. But this seems a little much. I’ve followed Tiger before and you would’ve been shocked by what people said.”

The incident being talked about took place back at the 2021 BMW Championship at the Caves Valley Golf Club in Maryland, where DeChambeau suffered a six-hole playoff loss to Patrick Cantlay. Disturbed by the loss, the ‘mad scientist’ was heading to the clubhouse, when a fan yelled at him. As per reports, the fan said, “Great job, Brooksie.”

The dig by the spectator took no time to receive a lashing response from DeChambeau. Preoccupied with his loss, the then 28-year-old said, “You know what? Get the (expletive) out!” The banter concluded on an intense note. However, the PGA Tour had a lot to add. Following the incident, a couple of days later, PGA Tour commissioner, Jay Monahan, opened up about the tour’s stand while he addressed the media.

“When you hear “Brooksie” yelled or you hear any expression yelled, the question is, is that respectful or disrespectful?” he said, hinting at a fan’s ejection ruling in such a case moving forward. “At this point, it’s disrespectful, and that’s the kind of behavior that we’re not going to tolerate going forward.”

This wasn’t all. Going ahead, he further asserted, “Fans who breach our code of conduct are subject to expulsion from the tournament and loss of their credential or ticket.”
