It is not a secret that the American former football quarterback Peyton Manning enjoys playing golf. He has even played along with Tiger Woods in a charitable match. Although he has experience playing with the greatest golfer of all time, the former QB doesn’t consider himself the best golfer in his family.

“I think Eli has the chance to get to get pretty low, you know?” Manning named his brother the best golfer in his family on the Golf.com podcast ‘The Drop Zone.’

“I’ve kind of been disappointed,” the former Denver Broncos QB said. He explained that he was convinced that he could be better at playing golf after retiring from football. “It just hasn’t happened,” Manning further added.

Although he was a start QB, Manning has always shown interest in golf. He has played in a team with Tiger Woods in the Match: Champions for Charity. The Woods-Manning team had competed against Phil Mickelson and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady then.

Furthermore, he is a member of the Augusta National Golf Club, and he has played alongside the legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus at the annual member-member event of the Club, called The Jamboree. According to Nicklaus, Peyton has either a 5 or 6 as the golf handicap score. 

Peyton Manning praised his brother’s golfing skills!

“His weekend golf is short too,” Peyton Manning said about his young brother. “But he does get to play a little more year-round in the fall,” he added. “I can see his handicap taking a big dip.”

The former New York Giants QB Eli Manning has always shown interest in playing golf as well. As a matter of fact, the two Manning brothers had competed against each other when they took part in the 2020 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Peyton had teamed up with the pro golfer Luke Donald, whereas Eli was paired with Kevin Chappell.

The big brother now credits Eli as the best golfer in the Manning family. However, back then, Peyton’s team had secured the T9 position in the Pro-Am tournament. Meanwhile, Eli and Kevin Chappell’s team missed the cut.

The former Denver Broncos QB wants to improve his golfing ability. However, he doesn’t think he is getting any better and believes his younger brother and former New York Giants QB Eli is the best golfer in his family.
