Oak Hill in New York proved to be a daunting course for many golf heavyweights. While recent PGA Tour winners Matt Fitzpatrick and Jason Day failed to make the cut, players like Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas had to grind to stay above the cut line. However, club pro Michael Block effortlessly overhauled the big-name players to tie for the 15th position on the leaderboard and even took home a big chunk of the $17.5 million prize purse as well as a unique trophy for his efforts!

While Koepka posed with the Wanamaker trophy, Block showed off his own crystal bowl that he won for being the lowest club professional at the event. Just by successfully making the cut at the tournament’s second round, he had earned the special honor out of 20 club pros who had made their way into playing at the Oak Hill course!
