The golf world is still celebrating the unfathomable victory of Brooks Koepka at the PGA Championship. It was only a few weeks ago when the golf star almost claimed the title at the 2023 Masters. However, he was defeated by PGA Tour’s Jon Rahm in the final round at Augusta.
Notably, Rahm’s Masters’ win drew the attention of the fans towards making it a PGA Tour’s victory over LIV Golf. And a similar thing happened when Koepka won the PGA Championship defeating some of the top players on the American Tour, including Scottie Scheffler. And now, a recent tweet involving the upcoming Ryder Cup has ignited a new battle between fans of both leagues!

LIV Golf vs PGA Tour controversy drags in the upcoming Ryder Cup speculations
The PGA Tour and LIV Golf controversy seems to never run out of fuel. As soon as things seem to be a little settled between the two leagues, fans find a way to bring in allegations and questions igniting new sparks in the matter. And after tons of previous speculations, former PGA of America president Ted Bishop, has seemingly invited several fans on social media to put forward their opinions about the upcoming Ryder Cup. Moreover, it has everything to do with LIV Golf’s presence in the USA team in the tournament.
It’s perplexing that some in the national golf media think the PGA Championship and Ryder Cup are run by the PGA Tour instead of @PGA . That said, given the relationship between the Tour & PGA of America it’s highly doubtful that any LIV player will represent the @RyderCupUSA .

Bishop recently tweeted about how so many people believe that the PGA Championship and the Ryder Cup are tournaments run by the PGA Tour. For those who don’t know, the Ryder Cup is co-administered by the PGA of America along with Ryder Cup Europe. On the other hand, the PGA Championship has always been organized solely by the PGA of America.
Stating these facts, his tweet also included how it is highly uncertain that LIV Golf players will be allowed to represent the Ryder Cup USA team! Not to forget, Brooks Koepka, who recently won his fifth major, is all set to be part of the tournament, if given the opportunity. “I have no idea [if we’ll be eligible], and it’s not up to me, so I can’t make that decision…But if they choose us, we’ll be ready to go,” he said in a recent interview.

On the other hand, Team USA Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson, has his priorities clear about having LIV Golf players onboard. “If he makes the top six? Yeah, he’s on the team,” he said. In fact, even Scottie Scheffler doesn’t seem to have a problem with Brooks Koepka or anyone else being on the team at the Ryder Cup. Rather, he is focused on bringing the title home as a team with his fellow golfers. “I want to win the Ryder Cup…We want to beat those guys in Europe…that’s all I really care about,” he claimed.
Fans react to LIV Golf vs PGA Tour controversy ahead of Ryder Cup
Despite everything they heard from their favorite golfers in both leagues, fans definitely had their own opinions and speculations about the issue. And after the former PGA of America President’s tweet about the matter went viral, golf enthusiasts filled the comments section with all kinds of reactions!

A huge chunk of golf fans are waiting to see Brooks Koepka on the team. In fact, according to them, it would be a huge loss to the Ryder Cup in case he doesn’t make it there! Here’s what some of them had to say:
Seriously? That would be terrible. And I am not a LIV supporter…at all.
If Keopka et al don’t play, you’re only doing damage to the Ryder Cup.

There is no question they should be allowed to play. I am 100% loyal to the PGA Tour, but imo, it would be wrong to keep them out. Set aside the differences for a few days and do what's best for Team USA.

If they qualify, then think they’ll play. I wouldn’t expect any to be captains picks though, with the small possibility of DJ

Well the Ryder Cup has yet to be determined if it is "run by" the PGA tour. Yes I know technically it isn't but I will hold my opinion until I see if BK is on the squad. If he isn't I will know who is running the Ryder Cup behind the scenes.

While there were some who were extremely confident about Koepka’s presence on the team.
Brooks is in, 100% guaranteed , book it

But he can represent the PGa of America as their 3 time champ. If he qualifies on points how can they keep him out?

Notably, there were others who didn’t agree with what the tweet said. Moreover, some even ended up calling statements “dumb”!
Wrong. Again.
