With a total purse of $7.7 million USD and 500 FedExCup points on the line, the Mexico Open promises to be an exciting event for both players and fans. Power rankings

In addition to the professional players, several promising amateurs and Mexican players have also been granted exemptions to participate in the tournament. Argentine Mateo Fernández de Oliveira, who won the Latin America Amateur Championship, Sebastián Vázquez, who finished as the best Mexican player in the Tabachines Classic, Omar Morales, winner of the Value Next Generation Qualifier, and Jose Cristobal Islas, who won the El Campanario Classic on the Mexican Professional Golf Tour, are among the players expected to make an impact at the event.

The tournament also granted an exemption to Jose de Jesus Rodriguez. Jose is currently the top-ranked Mexican player in the Official World Golf Ranking. Rodriguez has played in 33 PGA TOUR events and has 20 international victories in his professional career. Alvaro Ortiz is the winner of the 2021 edition of the Abierto Mexicano de Golf and the Latin America Amateur Championship in 2019. He will also participate in the tournament.
