Woods has been taking part in the Masters since his amateur years and has played 24 times ever since then. He had won his first-ever Masters title in 1997, his first start as a professional. Tiger went on to win four more titles at the Augusta National since then.

Furthermore, Woods has more than 30 existing records at the event. The golfer has also been able to make the cut every time he appeared in the tournament since 1997. He is also known for maintaining a good position on the leaderboard.

However, it was not the same this year. Despite having a good round 1, Woods couldn’t perform as well as he used to in the past years at the ANGC. He could only secure the 47th position after four rounds. 2022 is the first time he got a 40-plus place on the leaderboard since he has turned pro.

Even though it is a career-low performance for him at the Masters, Woods considers it a victory too, considering his physical conditions after the 2021 car crash.

Since DeChambeau also had faced injuries recently, he understands how Tiger feels and that is why he stayed back to watch him despite not making the cut.

With a 12-over par score after the second round, DeChambeau couldn’t advance to the final rounds at the Masters this year. He was one of the many prominent names on the field, including Jordan Spieth and Brooks Koepka, who couldn’t make the cut.

The tournament was only the third event DeChambeau attended this year after recovering from his injuries. His doctors had recommended taking more time to rest so he could recover from his injuries completely. However, Bryson took the risk since he didn’t want to miss the Masters.
