Jordan Spieth has won the 2022 RBC Heritage. It is his first championship title victory in a year. And the golf world can’t help but notice how he and his wife handle their newborn baby while celebrating his win. The former professional golfer Paige Spiranac also shared her opinion about the same. 

“That baby, is it okay?” Spiranac asked about Spieth’s baby. The golfer shared her concern through her podcast ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee.’ 

“I don’t want to ever like critique another mother or someone handles their child,” said Spiranac. The 29-year-old expressed that even she doesn’t know how to hold a baby. “But she (Annie Spieth) was running out holding the baby,” she further added. “And the head, the head was like rocking back and forth.”  

Spiranac was talking about how Annie Spieth ran while holding their baby to Jordan after he won the RBC Heritage. The PGA Tour had shared the video of their celebration on their social media.

The couple received criticism after the fans watched Spieth and his handling the baby. “That kid was shaken, not stirred.” “His kid just got a concussion.” “Did anyone else see the baby bouncing while she ran to Jordan lol.” 

The celebration video of Spieth and his wife on the PGA Tour Instagram received more hate comments like these than congratulatory messages for Spieth’s win.

Jordan and Annie welcomed their first baby in November 2021. Born on the 11th of November, the baby is named Samuel ‘Sammy’ David Spieth. And the RBC Heritage was one of the first times the young Spieth has come to watch his father play.

“I don’t have a baby. But I don’t think that’s how you do it,” said Spiranac. The professional golfer expressed her concern about how the newborn’s mother had handled him. 

Interestingly, it is not the first time Spiranac has voiced her concern about Sammy Spieth’s parents. She had recently made comments about how Jordan Spieth held the baby in a picture he shared from the Par-3 Contest. 

Spiranac had then compared him holding the baby to the photo of the American model Emily Ratajkowski holding her baby. 

Born last November, Sammy Spieth is not six-month-old yet. And it was the first time Jordan got to celebrate his victory with his son. What did you think of their celebration?
