Coming into the 2022 Valero Texas Open, Jordan Spieth was the player everyone was focusing on. After all, he is the defending champion of the event. However, it seems like the pressure has got to him, or else why would a former world no.1 make a putt like that!

The writer for Sports Book wire had shared the video of Spieth trying to make the 2-foot putt in three tries.

The 2021 Valero Texas Open was Spieth’s first victory in more than two years. Since his victory at the 2017 U. S. Open, it took the current world no. 17 83 more starts to finally win a tournament. He has won the event with a two-shot lead with an overall score of 18-under 270.
With the win, he became the fifth player to win 12 PGA Tour championships before turning 28. Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Justin Thomas are the other four who share the record with Spieth.

Although he had won the Texas Open, Spieth didn’t find success in the rest of any of the events. However, his T3 finish at the 2021 Masters and 2nd position at the Open Championship was impressive. Furthermore, Spieth finished as the runner-up at the 2022 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Despite not having a victory in a year, Spieth came into the 2022 Texas Open with the confidence of defending his title. However, after two rounds, he is tied at the 47th position with an overall score of 2-under 142.

Only two rounds have ended at the 2022 Valero Texas Open. So, it is still early to make any predictions.
