The new year has started with some major changes for Rickie Fowler. While his long relationship with Farmers Insurance came to an eventual end, it was earlier suspected that a similar story would happen with one of his other sponsorships as well.

However, it has recently been clarified that, amid the big 2024 sponsorship changes, Rickie Fowler’s bond with his 9-year-old has withstood the test of time. The 35-year-old’s emerging updates present a beacon of hope for all the golfer’s fans.

Rickie Fowler is waiting for things to get finalized

Rickie Fowler’s appearance at the Sentry revealed two major things: the logo for Farmers Insurance was absent on the right side of his hat, and the one for Rocket Mortgage was absent from the right sleeve of his shirt. This has paved the way for speculation about the end of his relationship with both of these sponsors. However, Fowler recently clarified his stance and cleared up the speculations.

He affirmed that while it was a goodbye to Farmers Insurance, there is hope of renewing his recently expired deal with Rocket Mortgage! Interestingly, Rickie Fowler also won the 2023 edition of the Rocket Mortgage Classic. This has solidified that the fire in the bond that the duo started in 2015 has still not been put out.

Talking about his future with his sponsor of nine years and hopefully counting, Rickie Fowler said, “We have something in the works to move forward, but it hasn’t been finalized yet. I think there is a good chance we will have the logo and move forward with the partnership there.”

So it is safe to say that the 6X PGA Tour champ is going nowhere when it comes to Rocket Mortgage. However, the same cannot be said about Farmers Insurance. But why are Rickie Fowler and Farmers Insurance parting ways after being together for over a decade?

Why did Fowler and Farmers Insurance call it off?

The reason behind the fall-off between the two is a major change in leadership at the top level of Farmers Insurance. The giant did not renew the contract with the 2X DP World Tour champion following the traditional practice of change in marketing strategies with change in the people at the top of these major companies.

Fowler has also confirmed that it is the end of his bond with Farmers Insurance. He has also clarified that the end of some of his major sponsorships does not translate into him leaving and going to LIV Golf following Jon Rahm‘s move. Instead, he has revealed that he plans to go nowhere.
