However, since he has been on hiatus for a long time due to injuries, the fans have been missing watching bombs on the PGA Tour. Nevertheless, a Korn Ferry pro is ready to take over the longest driver title on the PGA Tour. However, what do the fans think about it?

Famous for his long drives, Brandon Matthews is to play at the 2022 Wells Fargo Championship. The 27-year-old will play at the TPC Potomac golf course as a sponsor exemption.

Matthews has played on the PGA Tour LATINOAMÉRICA and has won multiple titles. He is also a regular on the Korn Ferry Tour, which he joined in 2018. The golfer has won the 2022 Astara Golf Championship, a Korn Ferry event.

The 6 foot 4 inches tall golfer has a history of hitting long drives in the tournaments. He had covered 331.3 yards on a Korn Ferry tournament back in 2019. Furthermore, he has recorded 200 mph ball speed from the tee.

Brandon Matthews uses a Srixon ZX7 driver of the Cleveland-Srixon brand. The golfer had made some custom changes with the club to improve the lower spin and a penetrating ball flight.

On the other hand, DeChambeau’s recorded long drive on the Tour is 403 yards. He had hit it on the Sentry Tournament of Championship. Furthermore, the latest longest drive he produced was in last season, when he averaged over 323 yards.

However, he hasn’t hit a power shot since then as he had injured his wrist and hip injury. Recently, DeChambeau went through surgery on the wrist. He did it after the 2022 Masters, where he couldn’t advance to the final rounds.
