The 2024 season turned out to be a disappointing one for Jordan Spieth. After finishing only three times in the top 10, the 3-time major champion ended his season at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in August. But as soon as his schedule was free, Spieth went straight to fix the one nagging issue: his injured ulnar nerve on the left wrist.

The 30-year-old has injured his wrist in 2023. He underwent surgery in late August and posted that he was focused on recovering and rehab and looking forward to his professional return. Just after 15 days, the major winner was seen at the junior fundraiser event, Crush It! Cup. At that time, Spieth’s left arm had the cast, and he could barely move it.

And now he has posted a clear picture of his recovering wrist. Spieth posted an adorable picture with his son, Sammy, on Instagram wherein both were wearing Texas Longhorns attire and posing with the iconic Longhorn sign. Supporting his native football team, Spieth wrote in the caption, “Horns by 90 🤘.” Surely, his wrist was much better than before, as he could clearly move it around better.

But this was not the single incident that showed a sign of Spieth’s recovered wrist. Just a day ago, the 3-time major winner was spotted alongside Scottie Scheffler as the two PGA Tour stars made it to the 48th governor of Texas, Greg Abbot’s house. There, Spieth could even hold a placard in his left hand. Indeed, his wrist was moving, and his plans of making a return were becoming more promising. So, when will Spieth appear on the PGA Tour and be fully recovered?

Unfortunately, Jordan Spieth will not be competing at the upcoming ZOZO Championship in Japan or any other PGA Tour fall event. After having a relatively slower season, the 13-time PGA Tour winner would not want to risk it and start playing the pro events that early after his surgery. Thus, Speith will make his return in the 2025 season.

Talking at the press conference during the fundraiser at Brookhaven Golf Club, he said, “I think that by 2025, by Jan. 1, it’s my goal to be tournament-ready.” Furthermore, he emphasized that this return would mean he would start playing the best golf he could. So, Spieth will be at the first signature event of the season, The Sentry? No.

Because of his performance, this time, the 30-year-old did not qualify for the season-opening event in Hawaii, nor is he qualified for any PGA Tour signature events. But for those, he might get to play them through a sponsor exemption or if he is ranked inside the top 30 on OWGR. It implies that Spieth’s first event on the tour will be the Sony Open in Hawaii, starting on January 9th. Till then, his fans will be seeing him through the rare appearance he makes or the posts he shares on social media and hope that his recovery will end in his favor.
