Aaron Wise commits to the next PGA Tour event
A week before the 2023 Masters, Aaron Wise shared an emotional note to PGATour.com to detail his sudden absence from the Masters. Wise had expressed that he was dealing with mental health issues, which were hindering his game and pulling him down from performing his absolute best.
“I need to take some time away to focus on my mental health,” said Wise in his statement. However, after his withdrawal in March, the 27-year-old participated in the next two majors, viz., the PGA Championship and the U.S. Open. Then, in July, Wise backed away from golf unannounced. Nonetheless, during that period, he worked on his swing with his coach and prepared for a possible return.
After recovering; mentally, Wise is now up for the next big challenge. The fan page of Wise, the Aaron Wise Tracker, reposted a tweet and exclaimed, “Aaron Wise is Back!!!” His name was in the field for the Puerto Rico Open, which means the Capetown native will be playing at the Grand Reserve Country Club next week.
