When did Gary Woodland undergo brain surgery?

The 2019 US Open champion announced on August 30 that he would be undergoing surgery to remove a lesion in his brain. While he knew about the lesion earlier, medication proved insufficient to treat it. This left many of his fans feeling down. Seeing the medicines were not working, Woodland promptly decided to opt for surgery.

But this was not an easy step to take. With the support of his fans and family, however, he progressed to the next stage. He said, “This journey has been very hard but I’m extremely thankful to be progressing and for the unconditional love and support from everyone.”
