Woods made a comeback at the 2022 Masters after surviving a car accident in 2021. He had then finished playing all four rounds at the Augusta National. After the event, he revealed his intention to play only the major events as he is not fit enough to play the entire season.
Moreover, his recent withdrawal from the PGA Championship suggests that he is not in perfect shape to compete this week. Woods withdrew from the 2022 PGA Championship after playing three rounds. He carded a 9-over 79 in the last round he played, which is the highest he has ever scored in an event.
