Woods had recently said he would only play at significant events from now on. The golfer confirmed his plan to play at the Open Championship. However, he was not sure if he would play at the Southern Hills for the PGA Championship.

“He didn’t say anything to me about the PGA,” LaCava added. The caddie explained that Woods wants himself to be ready for the Open Championship in July. “Will he be ready in five weeks?” LaCava further added. “I don’t think he really knows to be honest.”

LaCava didn’t confirm whether Tiger will play at the second major of the year. However, he ended the conversation with a positive note for the fans. “If the recovery goes well,” Joe LaCava said. “I guess he would like to give it a try.”

The PGA Championship will begin on May 19. The Southern Hills in Oklahoma will host the event this year. Meanwhile, the Open Championship is set to begin on July 10th.

Since his accident that injured his leg severely, Tiger has been cautious about choosing the events to play. As he has just finished playing at the Masters, both the player and his caddy don’t know whether he will be able to recover to play at the PGA Championship in May.
