Just days after Rickie Fowler‘s thrilling victory at the Detroit Golf Club, the PGA Tour has now moved to Western Illinois for the 2023 John Deere Classic. An official stop on the Tour since 1972, the event has been won by the likes of Jordan Spieth, Bryson DeChambeau, and Steve Stricker in the past.

This year, the tournament features a highly competitive 156-player field, which further boasts nine of the top 50 players in the Official World Golf Ranking. On Wednesday, the golf world’s darling and social media sensation Paige Spiranac further added to the excitement surrounding the event by sharing her top picks for the title. This comes after the 30-year-old beauty successfully predicted Fowler’s win at the Rocket Mortgage Classic!

Rickie Fowler’s victory at the Rocket Mortgage Classic last Sunday came after he went without a PGA Tour win for over four years, or more precisely, 1610 days! Fowler’s amazing feat was cheerfully welcomed by the golf community, especially Paige Spiranac, who had shown great trust in his comeback.

Now, Spiranac has shifted her attention to the John Deere Classic, which kicks off at TPC Deere Run on Thursday. This time around, the social media star has declared World No. 34 Denny McCarthy her “outright winner” for the title. She further named Nick Hardy, Mark Hubbard, and Sam Ryder as her other top picks for the event.

Last month at Muirfield, the 30-year-old came incredibly close to winning the Memorial Tournament before being edged out by Viktor Hovland. McCarthy carried his good form to the US Open as well, achieving a top-20 finish at the major. He then followed it up with a strong showing at the Travelers Championship, a tournament that featured many of the biggest names in golf.

McCarthy, who turned pro in 2015, has yet to register a win on the PGA Tour. This week, the golfer is eyeing the biggest share of the $7.4 million prize purse, which is an incredible $1.332 million payout!
