Jordan Spieth had his wife and newborn baby Sammy at the venue when he won the 2022 RBC Heritage. Moreover, the cute baby was with Spieth’s close buddy Justin Thomas, where he experienced a very awkward moment. The baby pooped on Justin Thomas, as Jordan Spieth revealed while talking to the SiriusXM podcast. Moreover, this incident took place before Jordan won the RBC Heritage.

Spieth appeared on the SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio after winning the 2022 RBC Heritage. The hosts asked him about this awkward incident that took place on Thursday. “Yeah, so Justin doesn’t enjoy when that happens, and Sammy seems to think that’s a great spot,” revealed Spieth. Furthermore, he also admitted that this was not the first time, and this incident has happened before with JT.

Additionally, Justin Thomas replied to this conversation on Twitter. He wrote, “I seem to be an easy target…” Meanwhile, Sammy Spieth is still relatively young and is not even a year old. Hence, this was all in fun for JT as well.

Jordan Spieth registers his first win as a dad

Jordan Spieth had a tough couple of years as he struggled a bit with his golf. From world no.3 on the OWGR in May 2018, he slipped down to 92 in January 2021. However, his resurgence started with a victory at the Texas Open in April 2021. Since then, he was getting in contention in every odd event.

Finally, Spieth managed to get his hands on the trophy last week as he went past Patrick Cantlay in the playoffs and won the 2022 RBC Heritage. Meanwhile, this was his 13th PGA Tour win and first after becoming a father in November 2021. Therefore, this was a special victory for Spieth, as having your wife and son watch you live from the venue while lifting the trophy is a special feeling indeed.

Additionally, another coincidence was that Jordan’s 2021 Texas Open victory came on Easter, and even this year, his RBC Heritage win came on Easter. Hence, this looks like an incredible coincidence which might be great if it continues next year. As in 2023, the prestigious Masters Sunday falls on Easter, and Spieth will be hopeful of a similar result on the next Easter as well.
