Taylor Zarzour asked Jimmy, “The big pushback of the new tour is been, it doesn’t feel like what they are playing for matters. Do you think that’s fair? In reply Jimmy laughingly said, “Well, look I got a lot of friends on that, they play the LIV, and you know it’s what it is. LIV Golf strangled in its own law suit against the PGA Tour
The tug of war between the PGA Tour and LIV golf is ongoing. The most recent of their struggles was the banning of LIV golfers by the PGA Tour. The suspended golfers had imposed a lawsuit on the PGA Tour, and Greg Norman also joined in the fight. But making use of an opportunity, the PGA Tour took the opportunity to seek discovery from the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia and question Yasir Al-Rumayyan, governor of PIF. Although his lawyers had requested an investigation into the probe, which was rejected by a northern California U.S. District Court judge,
The situation has become increasingly contentious, with neither side willing to back down or seek a peaceful resolution. The ongoing legal battle between LIV and the PGA Tour has created a difficult and uncertain situation for all involved.
