Viktor Hovland has been associated with PING since his freshman year, though he signed an official deal only in 2019 after he turned pro. After three years of a successful deal between the two, it was re-signed by Hovland in 2022, and all his various clubs were replaced by the PING.

In partnership with the golf company, Hovland carries a G425 LST Driver with a 9-degree loft and accompanies it with a Fujikura Speeder TR 661-TX. The driver’s head is pear-shaped and weighs 445 cc, which reduces its overall spin. The design of the head also offers fast speed; additionally, the internal Dragonfly technology provides high MOI and enhances the CG. The driver retails for $399.98.

For making those perfect shots with the fairways, the world n0.4 uses the 7-Woods PING G430 Max Fairway with Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 8-X. The club costs $349, and it provides lower ball spins with ‘Spinsistency’ technology and has a Carbon Fly wrap around the head. The head is constructed as such to lower the CG and offer much forgiveness for misplaced shots.

The Norwegian star has been using the PING i210 Irons (4-PW) since 2019. After its first use, Hovland noticed lower ball speed and spin. He then decided to add it to his bag immediately, as he told PGATour.com. The sets of irons have an elastomer inside, which promises a smooth feel and forgiveness.

For wedges, he uses prototype wedges in 50°SS and 54°SS, plus the PING 60°TS Glide 2.0 wedge. The prototype wedges have not been offered to the public yet. As for the Glide 2.0, it has a milled face with grooves, which works better in wet and dry conditions. It also promotes precise shots. The putter used by the 2023 FedExCup Champion is an undisclosed customized putter by PING, which has a patina finish with a 2.5° loft and is equipped with a step-less chrome shaft.
