Is the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am going smoothly? Well, no! Pebble Beach is notorious for being the spot for bad weather conditions. The rain and hail on the golf course have delayed the event multiple times in the past. And it looks like the same is bound to happen this year!

Over the years, the final round of the event has always been struck by severe weather conditions. As per the forecasted weather report by NUCLR GOLF, a wind warning has been issued for Sunday’s final round of the season’s second signature event.

Meteorologist for NUCLR GOLF, Michael Anand, predicted a storm incoming. Anand predicted a “mix of sun and clouds, a shower possible here or there” on Saturday, but called it a calm before the storm for Sunday! For the final round of the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Anand predicted, “Rainfall to the amount of 1-2 inches possible during the day on Sunday.”

“We are also expecting really strong winds! Winds are going to be sustained at 30–40 miles per hour, with gusts of up to 70 miles per hour possible. For that, a high wind warning has been issued for Pebble Beach during the day tomorrow,” said Anand. But this is not the first time this has happened, and the PGA Tour is prepared for the worst.

Officials ready to delay 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

With severe weather conditions incoming, PGA Tour officials have sprung to action. A PGAT official told the Monterey Herald that they are ready to delay the event until Tuesday if similar weather conditions persist. Furthermore, they are slowing the greens on the golf course to counter the strong bouts of wind arriving on Sunday.

But fans and players alike wouldn’t want any delay in the second signature event of the year. The event has a lot at stake, as a purse of $20 million and 700 FedExCup points are up for grabs.

Currently, the world’s number one Scottie Scheffler is tied for the first spot with Ludvig Aberg and Thomas Detry with a score of 11-under. At the time of writing, the third round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is well underway.
