Nicknamed the Mad Scientist, Bryson had been taking a long break from tournaments after facing multiple injuries on his hip and wrist. From the beginning of the year, he had been either missing out or had withdrawn from almost all the PGA tournaments.
The only event he finished playing was the Sentry Tournament of Champions where he finished at T25. Furthermore, the golfer even withdrew from the Saudi International Championship after his injuries worsened.

Recently, DeChambeau had admitted that his speed training was the core reason for his injuries. “Some of the things have been a part of that,” he said. “Just abuse and working really, really hard.” Moreover, he explained that his injuries got worse after he played table tennis during the Saudi-event week.
His doctors had advised him not to play. However, Bryson decided to make an early comeback since he didn’t want to miss the greatest major of the year.

The closest he has reached to winning the championship was in 2016 when finished at T21. Bryson had appeared at the 2016 event as an amateur and so didn’t earn the prize money as it is against the USGA rule.

Furthermore, the last time the Mad Scientist did swing his club at the Masters was in 2021, when he finished at T46. He had scored an overall of 5-over par and earned $33,503.
The doctors had recommended Bryson take more rest to heal his injuries. However, the golfer wanted to make a comeback since he wanted to try and win his first-ever Masters Tournament. Do you think his dream will be fulfilled this time?
