Tom Kim divulges his reason behind the Shriners Children’s Open victory

The South Korean golfer was able to emerge victorious in the third event of the FedEx fall season by registering a score of  20-under 264. The professional took home a winner’s cut of $1,512,000 along with 500 FedEx Cup points. However, his win at the event did not come mainly due to the reasons given above.

In a press conference after the match, the 21-year-old was asked about what it means for him to defend his title at such an event. The 3X PGA Tour champ expressed how special it was to win in an event dedicated to children. Moreover, he pointed out how it “would mean the world” if he is able to do anything “just to inspire one kid out there.”
