There’s currently a buzz surrounding Talor Gooch not receiving an invitation despite delivering exceptional performances at LIV Golf, while Akshay Bhatia is on the verge of securing an invite for the coveted battle featuring the illustrious green jacket. Despite Gooch’s hopes that his performance would change people’s opinions, that didn’t occur, and the 32-year-old recently acknowledged this reality, stating, “There’s nothing I can do to influence people,” referring to his Masters situation. In such a disheartening situation, Gooch could use any praise that would come his way, right?

Keeping that in mind, Greg Norman recently made a few positive remarks about the 3x LIV Golf winner that went viral on X (formerly Twitter). The post was shared by NUCLR GOLF, a popular golf page on social media. Norman, while having high praise for the 32-year-old golfer, said, “Talor Gooch is the best iron player in the game of golf in the past 20 years that I’ve personally witnessed.” Guess who found the decorated praise funny? A PGA Tour pro!

Michael Kim, the PGA Tour pro who has had one win on the Tour so far, found the remarks hysterical and commented, “LOL.” This is not the first time when Kim has mocked a LIV golfer. He even once took a jab at Joaquin Niemann’s Masters related confession, that also got fans riled up. As it turns out, then also the golfer said, “lol.”

Kim’s remark did not sit well with the LIV Golf fans. After the American golfer’s comment went viral, a group of fans went a step further and openly expressed some disappointment in the 31-year-old pro.

What are fans saying in response to Michael Kim for his Talor Gooch remark?

A fan responded to the American’s remark by stating, “Laughing at another Hall of Famer I see.” In the process, the fan further elaborated and added, “Maybe try making a cut first,” as the pro hasn’t made it through the cuts in events like the WM Phoenix Open, Mexico Open at Vidanta, Cognizant Classic, and more. Despite making the cut in the Puerto Rico Open and Valspar Championship, Kim once again fell short of doing so at the current Valero Texas Open.

One fan pointed out that the LIV golfer is accumulating substantial earnings over multiple generations. Continuing in a sarcastic tone, they further remarked that if Kim persists in underperforming at tournaments, the pro could end up returning to the developmental Tour, known as Korn Ferry.
