Not making the cut at the 2023 PGA Championship might have been a huge blow to Rickie Fowler‘s career. Moreover, his close chances of tasting victory at the Charles Schwab Challenge or at the other three events in a row, including the US Open, must have certainly left a wound in his heart.

But none of it made the fan-favorite PGA Tour pro emotional, as he had been tasting the same bitter feeling for the last four years of his career. However, the moment he made the final putt at the 2023 Rocket Morgage Classic, Fowler couldn’t help himself. His eyes were filled with tears of joy as he knew he had finally made it. “Just thanks to everyone for the support over the years,” the golfer said on his winner’s cam on the PGA Tour soon after grabbing the trophy. Furthermore, Fowler didn’t forget how much the fans supported him throughout the years, despite him not grabbing a win since the 2019 Phoenix Open. “This one feels good, and this one’s for all of you,” the 34-year-old said to his fans.
