Rory McIlroy is one of the most talented people to ever grace the sport of golf. After turning pro in 2007, he has managed to turn the heads of every golfing enthusiast with an amazing number of wins and records on the course. Over the 16 years of his professional career, the PGA Tour pro has won 24 times on the circuit including 4 majors.

Although his skills are not to be taken lightly, it can’t be denied that other aspects do help out the athlete on the greens. The different kinds of tools made by his partner Taylormade that the Northern Irishman arms himself with have, without a doubt, made a lot of people curious.

The skillful golfer has been missing from the greens after the Ryder Cup, which saw his team Europe lifting the cup. Moreover, the pro was able to clinch the top position in the Race to Dubai rankings for the fifth time in his professional career. And, with the DP World Tour Championship set to take place, the 34-year-old would have something special in his bags, courtesy of his $100 million deal partner.

McIlroy had been using the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus Driver attached to the Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 6X shaft (9 degrees), priced at $629.99. However, a recent video confirmed the athlete using a new club, the TaylorMade Qi10 LS Driver. The third carbon wood of the series was added to the USGA’s list of Conforming Driver Heads, a little while back, and the 24X PGA Tour Champion would be aiming to “test it out” during the contest.

The 4X major champ’s choice of fairways falls on the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus Fairway coupled with Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 8 X at 15 degrees for his 3-wood, and costing $429.99. Meanwhile, for his 5-2ood, the golfer keeps the TaylorMade Stealth Plus as his pick. The latter is combined with the  Fujikura Ventus Black 9 X shaft at 19 degrees. The two tools have immensely increased his chances of birdies.

The Northern Irishman turns to the TaylorMade P760 for his 2 and 4-irons, priced at $721.99. However, he uses the TaylorMade Rors Proto when it comes down to his other clubs, from the 5-iron to the 9-iron. All the equipment, except the 2-iron (Project X HZRDUS Black 6.5 105 shaft) in the set, are attached to the Project X 7.0 which helps the club hit the ball cleanly thereby reaching the greens quickly.
