Rory McIlroy denies an apology coming his way a day after the angry scuffle

Through a recent tweet on ‘X’, NUCLRGOLF highlighted Rory McIlroy’s comment on the recent scuffle that was witnessed yesterday off the course. McIlroy, in a rather cold tone, had simply commented, “I haven’t met Joe.”

Backtracking to the conversation that is referred to by the Northern Irishman, in a report by NBC earlier in the day, Joe LaCava, the former Caddie of Tiger Woods, had come to apologize to the golfer after an angry exchange post-game yesterday. Per the news, LaCava later in the evening reached out to McIlroy and his teammates in order to clear the air.

According to the sources, he had even come forward to apologize earlier in the morning today as well. However, in lieu of the new update, Rory McIlroy has denied meeting Patrick Cantlay’s Caddie about the unfortunate incident yesterday.

While the golfer has held a firm stance on the unknown source of the problem, even his interview reflected clear anger in his voice. Nonetheless, the comments surfacing today draw attention back to the scenes from yesterday and the victorious role played by McIlroy in Europe’s dominance.
