Brandon Matthews’ support and generosity played a pivotal role in transforming Michael Miller’s career, offering him a lifeline when things seemed bleak. In 2023, Matthews, a PGA Tour member, invited Miller to a pro-am event in the Philadelphia area, an event he and his wife Danielle had been organizing to raise funds for local charities, including children’s hospitals. This wasn’t just any pro-am; it boasted a $100,000 purse for the professionals, and Matthews made a point of including mini-tour players like Miller.
