Brandon Matthews’ support and generosity played a pivotal role in transforming Michael Miller’s career, offering him a lifeline when things seemed bleak. In 2023, Matthews, a PGA Tour member, invited Miller to a pro-am event in the Philadelphia area, an event he and his wife Danielle had been organizing to raise funds for local charities, including children’s hospitals. This wasn’t just any pro-am; it boasted a $100,000 purse for the professionals, and Matthews made a point of including mini-tour players like Miller.

According to the recent post reported by Monday W Info on their official X account,At the time Michael was $33,000 in credit card debt. The chipping yips can be costly for a pro. But he worked his ass off to overcome them.” He was so broke that he could not even afford to live in a hotel that week, and spend the night in his car in the parking lot of some club. The next morning, before the championship, he would shower every morning in the club.

But as it turns out, his bad days were soon about to come to an end. “And he won the event. Won $65,000. Paid off his credit card. Got his career back on track,” reported the page. And well a year down the lane, Michael Miller has managed to almost earn the Challenge Tour status. He has finally acquired his dream and with it a place to play. “I love this f**king game,” concluded the post.
