Major setback after setback. That was what TGL faced a while back as a string of unfortunate events clung to Tiger Woods’s brainchild, unfortunately. But, this time around, it’s a piece of comforting news that came for the legend, who was otherwise fraught with worry owing to the accident at the site. Well, it’s all thanks to one person, Justin Rose.

Justin Rose joins Tiger Woods’s TGL

An update was shared a while back by the Los Angeles Golf Club announcing the addition of a new member to their team for their inaugural season of TGL. The squad, owned by Alexis Ohanian, Serena Williams, and Venus Williams, had earlier welcomed Sahith Theegala and Collin Morikawa back in November.

“I am excited to become a part of Los Angeles Golf Club,” said Rose, who was visibly elated. Continuing with his response, the 43-year-old mentioned how he was “already looking forward” to the whole endeavor. Moreover, he divulged how his decision came after interacting with LAGC all the while “learning about their commitment to their fans and community,” making him “more eager” to be a part of the same.

What about the club? Well, even they were very enthusiastic about the new addition, as Neal Hubman, LAGC President, stated, “We are beyond delighted to welcome Justin Rose to the Los Angeles Golf Club family.” Adding on, he disclosed how the 11-time PGA Tour champ’s “outstanding achievements and dedication” in golf “perfectly align” with the values of the club.

Back in November, the innovative league released a statement announcing how the power system used during the construction phase experienced a failure overnight. This, in turn, led to “partial deflation and limited damage” to the dome of the structure. Although there were no injuries, the unfortunate incident managed to push back the launch of the new venture.

Even LAGC was supportive of the decision that was taken by TGL at that time, as they expressed the same in a social media post while looking forward to “an even bigger and better debut in 2025.” Moreover, they highlighted their unwavering commitment and showed gratitude for the support that the team received from the fans.

Well, they also urged the fans to stay tuned for more announcements in the future. With Rose’s addition, they sure did manage to shock them successfully!
