It is true that the odds of making a hole-in-one are much higher than making an albatross. However, it doesn’t mean the aces can’t give the golfer and the spectators chills alike. Such was the case at the 72-hole PGA Tour event, the Mayakoba Golf Classic, when the golfers made the aces one after the other this week! 

The four-day Tour event is progressing at the El Camaleón Golf Club, which began on November 3. And in these four days, four professional golfers have made aces. 

A true ace in making hole-in-one: Brian Harman

The American professional golfer Brian Harman was the first to make an ace at the 2022 World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba. The calm and collected golfer made the tournament spectators scream when he finished a short par-3 hole in style. 

Notably, it was not the first time the golfer made an attempt and was successful in hitting the ball into the hole with just a stroke. As a matter of fact, he made it twice during The Barclays in 2015, and that too in the same round.

‘My God’: Golf World Reacts to ‘Insane’ Rory McIlroy Moment

The then-28-year-old Harman was surprised after making history by becoming only the third, after Bill Whedon in 1955 and Yusaku Miyasato in 2005, in the PGA Tour history to achieve such a feat. However, he didn’t even flinch when he made the inaugural hole-in-one this Friday. 

Two aces in a round: Seamus Power and Greyson Sigg

Following his victory at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship last week, Seamus Power played powerful golf on the second day at the El Camaleón Golf Club this week. The world no. 32 was the first to follow Harman’s path in the second round and made an ace at No. 8. 

Notably, Power finished the day with an 8-under 63, not before making an eagle, followed by a hole-out birdie. After Power’s powerful ace, it was time for the 27-year-old Greyson Sigg to show he is not any less of a player than his senior player. 

“Another one, yes!!! That’s two holes in one today!” Sigg’s ace didn’t just make him or the audience happy but left the commentators thrilled as well. 

A hole-in-one to end the Mayakoba Golf Classic: Robert Streb

After two great days, the World Wide Technology Championship and its players continued the class act on Sunday, in the final round. And this time, it was the two-time PGA Tour champion, Robert Streb, that made an opportunity to make the audience go wild. 

According to the PGA Tour Communications, the golfer made the ace at hole no. 8. Notably, it was his first time making a hole with a stroke in a Tour event.
