Tiger Woods has multiple legacies for his son Charlie to carry forward. He is a supreme golfer, a fine athlete in form and fitness, and an altruist at heart. Three things that he developed with the help of his own father, that he is trying to inculcate in his son as well.

As for fitness, it is clear how strong Charlie is, partly thanks to Tiger Woods’ strict pushup deal, which again he borrowed from his father Earl Woods. Charlie is surely cranking up the numbers, showing his golf prowess. Now, he also seems to focus on carrying forward his grandfather’s altruistic dreams as well.

Charlie Woods walks on Earl Woods’ path

In 1996, Tiger Woods and his father Earl Woods formed the TGR Foundation. It started as a golf clinic and then evolved into a much larger educational haven for underprivileged kids. The TGR Invitational golf event is one of the key fundraisers for the foundation.

This year, the event is about to happen in a week’s time, and preparations are underway. Charlie Woods, who isn’t exactly taking part in the event, is still apparently on the scene. Apparently, he was there to just support the cause and be present with his father.

Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods were reportedly seen swinging their clubs at the event, putting everyone around in good cheer. Charlie already knows what he has to do to keep his late grandfather’s dream project alive and kicking.

Charlie Woods soars higher by the day

Charlie Woods attends the Benjamin High School, to which Jack Nicklaus has contributed in significant ways. The teen golfer represents his school’s varsity golf team and has won two tournaments last month..

One of them was the Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship. Charlie performed impressively in the SFPGA’s West Coast High School tournament as well. In the latter, he played 36 holes in the two-day event and finished with a 102 score.

Coming back to Charlie Woods’ fitness routine, Tiger Woods has apparently recreated an equation he had with his father. Earl Woods would apparently ask Tiger to do a certain number of pushups every time he slipped up on the course. Now, the bet between Tiger and Charlie seems to be that Charlie has to do push-ups every time he misses a shot.
