Held every year on Monday, after the annual PGA Tour Florida Swing, the Seminole Pro-Member is one of the most competitive, albeit exclusive, events in the golfing world. It is additionally known for its charitable endeavors that accompany the brilliant golf the players flaunt! The event field will consist of not only top Tour pros but also many well-known power brokers, celebrities, and CEOs.

Woods will be teeing it off for the first time at the Seminole Pro Member with the CEO of the PGA of America, Seth Waugh. Intriguingly, this will be his first appearance following his withdrawal from the Genesis Invitational. Nevertheless, the news of his confirmed presence comes soon after the revelation that he is not yet committing to next week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational.

McIlroy will be teeing off with his partner and dad, Gerry, who himself is a Seminole member. Meanwhile, other professionals, including Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, Tony Finau, Korda, Ernie Els, and Matt Fitzpatrick, among others, would also be participating in the tournament, which usually precedes the Cognizant Classic, previously known as the Honda Classic. Interestingly, no professional from LIV Golf will be participating this year.

As the tee times for the exclusive event have been released, one can’t help but notice the two people that the Woods-Waugh duo is paired with: Justin Thomas and partner Mike Walrath. Well, the 15-time major winner and his partner sure would need to watch out for the defending champions of the tournament.

The event took place on the 27th of February, Monday, and boasted a stronger field than the Honda Classic that took place the day before. The Chairman and CEO of the software company Yext, Walrath, along with JT, managed to card a 9-under 63 as they finished a shot ahead of Brendan Todd and Jim Davis to lift the Seminole Pro-Member Gross Division trophy.

A total of four teams finished tied for third, including the likes of McIlroy-Gerry, the Spanish professional and then-world No. 1 Jon Rahm, and his partner David Novak. Meanwhile, Todd and Davis were given the title of net champions as they finished 12-under-60.
