Joseph LaCava seems to be carrying forward his father’s history of working with the Woods rather amicably. Even though replacing Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods’s school friend, Luke Wise, seems like a tumultuous task, LaCava Jr. seems to be prepared.

Is Joseph LaCava Jr. the right fit for Charlie Woods at the Cognizant Class Pre-Qualifier?

The short (and obvious) answer to this is yes. The duo shares a history of working together through three years of PNC championships. Thankfully for them, this experience of having a relationship that is almost generational by now is bound to come in handy.

Tracing back to their fathers’ alliance of over a decade, this duo has a lot of expectations set out for them. Interestingly enough, standing true to his father’s legacy of being a veteran caddy, LaCava Jr. has already registered to caddy for a winner on his record.

Yes, he caddied for none other than Steve Stricker, who registered a win at the Regions Tradition tournament on the PGA Tour Champions. An achievement termed “first of many” only seems to be the star caddy’s first step to PGA Tour glory, like his great father.

Coupled with Charlie Woods, this duo is bound to make magic happen. With Junior Woods already performing well, chances are that the duo might even get their way at the pre-qualifying event and add another historical win to both their accounts.

But is Joseph LaCava Jr. all Junior Woods has in these testing times?

In the absence of his father, Charlie Woods is not alone. Thankfully for him, on this big day, his mother, Elin Nordegren, has emerged as the pillar of support he can lean on.
